Wild Turkey Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 wild turkey breast
  • Salted water (for soaking)
  • 2 medium red onions, cut into quarters
  • 3-4 celery stalks, cut into large pieces and washed
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Celery salt (to taste)
  • Mayonnaise (Kraft recommended)
  • Sweet relish (to taste)

Steps

  1. Soak the wild turkey breast in salted water for about 1 hour. Rinse and clean it 
  2. Place the turkey breast in a large pot with the quartered onions and celery pieces.

  3. Add salt, pepper, and celery salt to taste. Add water to cover.
  4. Cook on medium boil until very tender.

  5. Remove the turkey from heat. Let it sit and cool completely.
  6. Shred/chop into small pieces or put in a chopper.
  7. Mix in mayonnaise and sweet relish until you reach your preferred consistency and flavor.

  8. Chill if desired, then serve.
