Supporting Ducks Unlimited's Vision

A Commitment To Filling The Skies

Chêne Gear wouldn’t exist without our customers — or a healthy waterfowl population. As we celebrate our third year and launch of our newest collection of premium waterfowl apparel, we’re showing our appreciation by providing an annual membership to Ducks Unlimited, the world’s premier waterfowl and wetlands conservation organization, to every buyer of our flagship wader for the remainder of the year.

Every membership is critical to Ducks Unlimited. At least 80 percent of every dollar goes directly towards Ducks Unlimited's Conservation Mission.

Founded in 1937 during the Dust Bowl to save North America’s drought-plagued waterfowl population, Ducks Unlimited has conserved more than 15.5 million acres of crucial waterfowl habitat. In 2022, the volunteer-based non-profit protected and restored more than 575,000 of wetlands and associated habitat in the United States.

“Whether its habitat conservation, partnerships with biologists studying waterfowl, or grassroots engagement with hunters across the country, Ducks Unlimited has contributed so much to healthy waterfowl populations and the sport of waterfowl hunting,” said Jeff Jones, co-founder and chief operating officer of Chêne Gear.

“By providing this membership to our customers, we want them to experience the value of this organization and encourage them to get more involved in the future, whether it’s renewing a membership next year, attending a banquet, or volunteering on a project.”

“For the last 86 years, Ducks Unlimited has focused on wetlands and waterfowl and the results are astounding. We've lost 3 billion birds across North America but waterfowl are the only bird species increasing in population. Thanks to the support of those hunters out there and the members of Ducks Unlimited that do so much to support that vision to fill the skies with waterfowl today, tomorrow and forever.” - says Adam Putnam, CEO of Ducks Unlimited.

For 2023, we are releasing our flagship wader in two new patterns: Mossy Oak Original Treestand and solid brown. You can learn more about the waders and our other new products here.
