"When temperatures begin to drop, this is the piece I always grab and becomes a go-to staple on every hunt. The fit of the jacket makes it easy to wear under waders with plenty of room to still layer under when it gets cold. The PrimaLoft insulation maintains a fantastic warmth-to-weight ratio, keeping me deceptively warm on the coldest hunts without adding bulk to the jacket. The polyester fabric combined with the windproof membrane and DWR finish cuts the wind incredibly well on those long boat rides and keeps me dry from any spray due to its water resistance. "If I had to pick one favorite Chêne product, I would have to say it’s the Flyweigh Vest because of its performance and versatility. The Nylon ripstop exterior fabric is very durable, yet remains soft and comfortable. The 90 grams of PrimaLoft Silver ThermoPlume with Cross Core insulation provides great warmth retention without adding unnecessary bulk. Because of these different materials and technologies, I find that I wear the vest often as a “go to” mid layering piece under different jackets, yet I also wear the vest over base layers and other mid layer products. This one product can immediately elevate my entire layering system, which is why it’s my favorite Chêne product."

"Personally, my favorite piece of gear is the Waxed Canvas Sweater.  I enjoy the vintage look of all waxed pieces we offer! However, this piece stands out for me because of the two materials used in its construction. The lower half, being a soft wool fabric, makes it super warm inside your waders. Combining that with the waxed canvas chest makes it not only durable, but also water-resistant, which is important because it is outside the top of your wader open to the elements.
