"I absolutely love these boots. Very soft and incredibly comfortable right out of the box. I use them as my casual boots. As much as I love them I’m not sure the sole would hold up to a daily work wear boot. Does what I want them to do perfectly though."
"I want to like these. . . but the fit is no good. They're hard to get in, and then when they're on, my feet slide with every step. I've tried an extra insole with marginal improvement. I'd try to size down for better fit while wearing, but there's no way I'd get the boot on. Would like to return but I'm out of the window."

"I love the look of these boots and everything Chene has ever produced as been awesome except this boot. I usually wear between a 12. 5 and 13. Ordered the 12. 5 and could not get my foot in them. Gave them to a friend rather than return. Ordered the 13 and same problem. I have worn cowboy type boots my entire live and never had this problem. Donated the 13 to Nearly New now two pairs of boots in and could not get my foot in either. Leather feels great, sole looks bomber just upper is built really tight. Hope there is a redesign in the future."

"These are very very comfortable boots for all day wear. At first they seem a little tight getting the foot in but once that’s broke in they aren’t so bad. The only concern is the outer sole. Worked all day digging and repairing a sewer line and the bottom cracked in a few places. Not sure about long term work boot usage but for everyday running around the comfort is unmatched."
"Love these boots after they’re broken in but extremely hard to get on out of the box in the ankle area. Worn them everyday for the past few months and are extremely comfortable but now the sole is wearing really fast. Overall great boot few minor issues but will probably still order another pair when these wear out."

"In most boots I wear either a 11 1/2 D or a 12D. I first ordered the Fieldstone's in 12's but my toes where barley touching so I had to return them for 12 1/2's. My first impression of these boots right out of the box was really good especially with the "crazy horse" color smooth leather vamps and darker colored crepe style wedge sole. I've researched and worn a lot of other manufactures similar boots including Red Wings, Georgia, Irish Setters, Thorogood, Wolverine, etc and none of them have offered this exact type of leather or soles. There wedge soles are similar but they are always a really light color and thicker which increases weight. You will not find weight to be an issue in the Fieldstone boot. In all of my 64 years, they are the lightest and most comfortable work style of boots I have ever owned. I don't know exactly what technology is behind the insoles, but they are a real joy to wear. All that said, the only challenge I had with them initially was pulling them on due to the top openings around the ankles being a bit too snug. As I have worn them and they have become more broken in, this issue becomes less and less. I am anxious to see how they patina and wear in the months to come.
